Three Ways To Motivate Yourself To Workout

Pick A Workout You Love – So important! If you’re not sweatin it out in a way that makes you glow from the inside out chances are it will be tough to stick to it. I tend to be surrounded by dancers but if mixed martial arts or cycling is your go-to blood pumping fave, go for it and do it! And make it count!

Focus on The Feeling - You know the feeling. That post workout sweat, glow, sparkle, whatever you want to call it. Exercise naturally releases endorphins, those feel good hormones in your brain, which triggers a positive feeling within your body. Your body will start to associate your sweat sessions with the release of these magical chemicals and you will crave, yes crave, that feeling over and over again. You know that “post

workout bliss” feeling? Exactly what I’m talking about. When I used to teach my Saturday morning classes at the late Crunch White Plains, there was a woman that would come up to me each week to give me her ticket and she would say, “Lisa, your class is like crack.” I would just laugh when I’d see her walking towards me before class every Saturday because I knew what she was going to say. When you get the blood pumping, you are creating a natural high, so to speak.

Surround Yourself With Who Are On The Same Mission As You - If you are already going to class, you are on your way! You're in a routine, getting yourself up and out the door for the soul purpose of self-love. A group fitness class naturally brings you together with like-minded people who are on a health journey of their own. Surround yourself with people who want to become more. Those who inspire and motivate you to raise your standards and who make you believe you are capable of achieving your goals.
